Your First Visit
When you arrive in our office for an In-Office visit you will fill out some paper work. You now have the option to fill out the same material in an email.
History of Your Problem
The doctor will take a thorough history to determine what your particular problem, or problems are. Many people have several problems all going on at the same time. You can explain your concerns at that time.
Next an examination will be done. We provide convenient cloth gowns for women. Underwear and slacks are most often left on under the gown.
The Type of Touching That We do
We will be touching your body to preform tests and to examine your spine and limbs. If you have any questions about this type of touching then please discuss it with the doctor. We adhere to professional standards and endeavour to keep you comfortable and relaxed.
Examination
A number of physical exam tests will be performed to check your neurology, ranges of motion and spinal mechanics. We will then have determined which tissues are involved and if other kinds of tests will be necessary, like spinal X-rays.
X-Rays
If you already have a set of x-rays then please bring then in for the doctor to read them. The x-ray report is good to have too, but don't worry about it if you don't have an x-ray report right now. You can phone up the X-ray clinic where your x-rays were taken and request a copy of the x-rays and the report. That is your right as your x-rays belong to you. Chiropractors are well trained in reading x-rays and discovering what lies beneath the skin with this often necessary technology.
Same Day Treatment
In our office we provide same day treatment and offer other forms of pain relief if we have to wait for a series of x-rays to be taken.
Home Instructions
Everyone should be sure to ask what they can do at home to help themselves. This is a question that is important to your health. The doctor will explain several things that you can do for yourself.
Your Next Appointment
You will be given a convenient time within the next few days to return to the office. If you would like to bring a spouse or a friend with you, then by all means do so.

We offer a number of additional services that complement the spinal manipulation treatments very well. If you prefer not to have your spine manipulated, that is okay too. We have several other things that can help you manage pain in a natural non-drug way.
Optimal Health and Wellness
Most people feel so good after care that they want to have regular care to catch the small things before they become big things. Dentists do the same thing when they recommend regular checkup visits. We suggest that people come in once a month for treatment in order to keep the mechanics of their spine and body working to it's optimum. We would be happy to care for you and discuss your health related problems with you.
Types of Spinal Treatment That We Use
We use spinal manipulation therapy given by hand. Chiropractic means done by hand. (Chiro = hand and practic = means done by.) We do not use computers, or machines, or special hand held devices, or special tables to examine the spine or to manipulate the spine. Scientific research showing the effectiveness of spinal manipulative therapy is done using hand manipulations. That is the type of care that we provide. There appears to be nothing so far, that can duplicate the skill, precision ,and effectiveness of a well trained experienced chiropractor examining and adjusting the spine by hand.
The terms adjustment, correction, reposition, free up, and manipulation all mean essentially the same thing.
Additional Adjunctive (helpful) Therapies
We offer additional therapies at no charge (LASER therapy, Trigger Point Therapy) to enhance the spinal manipulations.
