3. How Will Individuals Afford LIA Instruction?
The Need for Credible Lifestyle Instructors

Everyone is interested in optimal health secrets and pain relief self-help strategies. The population in North America now makes more visits to alternative health care providers than to traditional medical doctors. This fact is becoming common knowledge these days. Billions of dollars are spent. Health care professionals, and some not so professional, often conflict with each other. A team approach to health care is now required.
People will pay for value. People sign up for CPR courses, and First Aid courses so they can learn the secrets of those skills. Optimal Health also requires skills. To get those skills today is difficult when there is so much conflicting, competing information. Standardization is required at this time.
An 'expert' vacuum exists in the field of optimal health. No one knows who to go to in order to get definitive information on optimal health secrets and pain relief self-help strategies. When the question of optimal health comes up, no one knows who to go to. Maybe a fitness trainer, maybe a nutritionist if you can find a qualified one, certainly not a medical doctor. At the medical doctor's office you know you are going to get medications and surgery. And, it will be terribly expensive to the health care system. Only a few medical doctors have carved out a reputation for forward thinking health promotion, disease prevention strategies. These doctors cannot service everyone.
Our communities need Lifestyle Instruction Aid instructors, people specially trained in measuring optimal health and in offering a creditable Action Plan for the future. This Action Plan needs to be standardised and uniform across the country. When one goes to a fast food restaurant one pretty much knows what one is going to get. One also knows that it will not be healthy, but that is beside the point, we go anyway. Shifting this behaviour will not be easy and it will take time. We do not have to eliminate the behaviour all at once, just modify it accordingly.
In the LIA Project the standardisation issue is addressed and dealt with effectively. Updating, though, is a large job that requires more people than one dedicated person. A committee approach is needed, much like CPR standards are handled. In fact, the start up of the LIA Project might loosely follow the model of the CPR project. At one time only medical doctors were allowed to do CPR. Now anyone can with the right training.
Training people to become LIA instructors is a simple process. Achieving a uniform standard that all health care professions will support is not a simple process. But, it is achievable. The LIA Project has taken the steps to start the development of a standard for optimal health secrets and pain relief self-help strategies. People will pay for this knowledge and this hands-on face-to-face interaction. People pay for organic food. People support health food stores. People go to healthy living seminars. People will pay for LIA instruction.
We need the concepts of caring (universal health care), linked to the concepts of individual responsibility (self-help). One without the other leaves a dysfunctional system that is not sustainable in the long run. The LIA Project brings the self help concepts to reality.
Caring linked to Individual Responsibility
Universal Health Care linked to Self-Help
Optimal health secrets and pain relief self-help strategies,
doesn't everybody want to know about that?
Don't you want to know about that?
