It appears that some medical doctors don't understand that only a chiropractor can deliver a chiropractic treatment. Substitution of non chiropractic manipulators does not make the treatment a chiropractic treatment. Only chiropractors have the years of extensive training and the philosophical training to deliver chiropractic care effectively. The following article, published recently is quite interesting in that these select MDs are very resistant to clear scientific evidence. Slowly they will come around.

The US Office of Public Health (AHCPR), utilizing two hundred of the nation's top researchers, and evaluating tens of thousands of the finest scientifically based research material, published government guidelines urging all physicians to recommend spinal manipulation to patients as the BEST treatment for most low back pain. The AMA ignored these

government guidelines, and published its own so-called guidelines four months after the government guidelines, claiming on the front cover that, all treatment options for low back pain were enclosed, yet avoiding ANY reference to spinal manipulation.
